DELTACRON Variant in Cyprus

DELTACRON Variant in Cyprus

A new strain of Covid19 has been found by researchers from Cyprus and has been named as DELTRACRON.

New Variant Covid19

This variant is said to be combination of DELTRA variant and OMICRON Variant having many characteristic common from DELTA and OMICRON Variant.

Many experts’ belief it to be only a Scariant (one less thing to be worried about) –

All about DELMICRON

How do we define Variant?

A virus evolves, replicates and spread by hijacking the reproductive system of cell. It makes its own copy to spread itself to other cells and even different host.

Sometimes while copying itself, some mistakes happen accidently known to be mutations.

While most of the mutations are useless but few mutations even make the virus stronger than earlier.

These type of one or more mutations makes the virus stronger and known as New Variant.

Researchers from Cyprus has found signatures of Delta Variant and Omicron Variant in 25 patients. They have even sent those samples to German lab for further genome sequencing

Many experts believe that this might not be real variant or may be contamination in lab.

Yet, WHO has not remarked anything about this new variant.

Stay with us for more updates on the issue.
