Global Hunger Index which ranks major nations in terms of hunger, has been questioned by Government of India.

Could this be erroneous? Who would validate and On what possible grounds will this validation take place.

Index is an “erroneous measure of hunger” - The ministry of women and child development

 Index suffers from “serious methodological issues” can this statement be true

Global Hunger index published jointly-produced by the Germany-based not-for-profit organisation Welthungerhilfe and Ireland-based Concern Worldwide.

They ranked India as 107 out of 121 countries which resulted to damage India’s image. The opinion poll which was conducted is questionable.

India was given a score of 29.1 on a scale of 0 to 100, where zero indicate NO HUNGER.  India was ranked badly than Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, China and Srilanka.
