SRESHTA Scheme for upliftment of Schedule Caste meritorious students.
On 6th December 2021, Government of India to mark the death anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar has launched the SRESHTA Scheme.

Dr. Ambedkar is known as morden manu and architect of Indian Constitution. He has done many notable works and gave efforts towards upliftment of Schedule caste society and it's people by bringing them towards main stream of developing society.
His death anniversary is also known as "Mahaparinirvana Divas" in india
The scheme is specially designed for schedule caste meritorious students in providing them best education at residential private schools in targeted areas. Under the scheme, drop-out students from class 9 to 12 would be given emphasis and selected meritorious students would be admitted to identified private residencial schools.
The scheme would be implemented by Ministry of Social Justice and empowerment with guidance of NITI Aayog.
Scheme would highlight around 25,000 meritorious students availing quality education in private residencial schools from class 9 to 12 in next 5 years. NITI Aayog will define the schools and it's guidelines in aspirational districts for smooth implementation of the scheme with project cost of 300 crores.
